Minimum requirements

Most people can drive with SwiftRyde. The requirements vary by city but there are a few minimum requirements:

• Meet the minimum age requirement, you must be at least 21 years old
• Car requirement: A 4-door car that is year 2005 or newer
• Completed a vehicle inspection
• No more than three moving violations in the past three years (e.g. accidents, traffic light violations)
• No major violations in the past three years (e.g. driving on a suspended license, reckless driving)
• No DUIs or other drug-related driving violations in the last seven years
• No extreme infractions in the last seven years (e.g. hit-and-run, felonies involving a vehicle)
• Be legally allowed to drive in your country

Required documents

Before hitting the road, share the documentation below. If you want to use your own car, you’ll also need to provide registration and insurance.

• Valid documentation to drive in your country
• Must have valid Canadian class “G” driver’s license and one full year of Canadian driving experience with no more than THREE DEMERIT points.
• In-Province plates with a current registration (commercial plates are acceptable)
• Proof of residency in your city or province

• No violent crimes
• No sexual offenses
• No theft
• No property damage
• No felonies
• No drug related offenses
• Individuals registered on the National Sex Offend
• You must be Incorporated - Comply with any local regulations in your area
